Their Winter Habitat

It’s winter here in Georgia and so far the temperatures have been lower than predicted. We were worried about the cats not having a warm enough place  especially since there are so many of them now. We turned our under the deck shed over to them and lined it with plastic to insulate it. We also put in an oil space heater. The temperature inside is around 50 -60 degrees even when it’s 20 outside. Their fur does the rest of the job and they all huddle together for warmth on the coldest days and nights. They have several levels to perch on and lots of blanket and pads.  It makes me feel good to see them coming out of their house when I go out to feed them.  We are expecting a big ice and snow storm later today so I hope we don’t lose our power.
